Welcome to my official website. My goal is to provide each of my students with personalized, inspiring, and highly effective piano instruction.

About me

After completing my studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, I earned two master’s degrees in Belgium as a pianist and piano teacher.
Numerous courses and mentors have helped me grow both as an artist and as an educator, enabling me to share with concert audiences and younger generations alike the experience, knowledge, and emotional depth through which they too can discover the true power of music.

Education

After completing my studies in Belgium, I decided to stay there, where—in addition to performing—I gained extensive experience in piano instruction and accompaniment at Flemish educational institutions. I then returned to Hungary, where I worked as a teacher at several international schools and conservatories. I regularly organize concerts and exam preparation sessions for my students. My students have a 100% pass rate in the ABRSM exam system. My primary focus is on goal-oriented, advanced problem-solving. The language of instruction is flexible: you can sign up for lessons in Hungarian, Dutch, German, or English.

Biography

Kristóf Kozma is a Hungarian-Belgian pianist and teacher.

He started to play piano at age 6 and at age 13 studied in the Liszt Ferenc National Academy of Music in Budapest. During his study and from a young age he successfully participated in several national competitions and musical contests of young composers.

Between 1992-1996 he studied in Bartók Béla College of Music under experienced and well-known mentors like E.Tőkés, G.Eckardt, K.Schweitzer, and B.Szokolay. He completed his further education in Belgium. He holds a degree of ‘Master of Music’ in piano performance from the Royal Flemish Conservatory, Antwerpen (2005) and a degree of ‘Master of Music’ in piano pedagogy (2007) from the University of Lemmens, Leuven, Belgium. He had participated in a lot of piano performances including solo as well as being piano accompanist.

He took part in international courses under the direction of Professor György Kurtág, Mr. Malcolm Bilson, Mr Jan Wijn, J. Mr. Hackon Austbo, Levente Kende, Jos Van Immerseel, Claire Chevalier etc.

He won different culture awards, such as the Dutch Oranje-prize in België. Besides being a pianist and teacher he participated in many cultural events, recorded cd-s of chamber music, and he made radio-records and tv-records (e.g. at Duna Tv).

In 2003 he also participated in making a film about the life of E. Dohnányi.

He speaks Hungarian, Dutch, German, and English.

Önéletrajz

Kozma Kristóf magyar–belga zongoraművész és zongoratanár. Középfokú tanulmányokat a Bartók Béla Zeneművészeti Szakközépiskolában folytatott, közben a budapesti Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem különleges tehetségekosztályának is tanulója volt. Magyarországi mentorai, többek között Tőkés Emese, Eckhardt Gábor, Schweitzer Katalin és Szokolay Balázs voltak. Egyetemi éveit Belgiumban kezdte meg. 2005-ben az antwerpeni Királyi Flamand Konzervatóriumban szerzett zongoraművészi mesterdiplomát, és 2007-ben a leuveni Lemmens Egyetemen zongoratanári mesterdiplomát. Számos koncerten lépett fel, mind szólistaként, mind zongorakísérőként.

Nemzetközi kurzusok rendszeres résztvevője volt, többek között Kurtág György, Malcolm Bilson, Jan Wijn, Håkon Austbø, Kende Levente, Jos Van Immerseel és Claire Chevalier tanítványaként. Munkáját több kulturális díjjal ismerték el, például a holland Oranje-díjjal Belgiumban.

Több mint tízéves nemzetközi tanítási tapasztalattal rendelkezik, amely inspirálja abban, hogy átadja diákjainak tudását és a zene iránti szeretetét. Jól ismeri a brit, a magyar és a belga zenepedagógiai rendszert, valamint az ABRSM vizsgarendszert. Tanítványai sikeresen szerepelnek hangversenyeken és vizsgákon.

Zongoraművészi és -tanári tevékenysége mellett rendszeresen vállal szerepet kulturális eseményeken: kamarazenei felvételeket készített, valamint rádió- és televíziós műsorokban szerepelt (például a Duna Televízióban). 2003-ban közreműködött egy portréfilmben, amely Dohnányi Ernő életét dolgozta fel.
